Unexpected Surprise
January 15, 2010We have been blessed with monoamniotic twins due early spring. My family and I were very surprise and shock to find out we were pregnant with twins. Unfortunately, monoamniotic twins are at great risk for health complications because of the close proximity of the two umbilical cords in the amniotic sac. Mid March I will enter the hospital, so I can be constantly monitored. Our goal is to make it to 32 weeks gestation. I am very positive and I know God gives you what you can handle. Our hands will be full, but better full than empty.
So, what does this mean? As you probably guessed, due to the high risk associated with monoamniotic twins, I will not be taking any portrait bookings at this time. It is still unclear when I will resume sessions. I will update my blog when I do so.
What’s a post without pictures? I love detailed shots and don’t share them enough. Kendall is obsessed with her new “sooze.” The first day she got them she wanted to sleep with her new shoes. In the morning instead of yelling for mommy or daddy we heard her talking to her “sooze.” It was so cute! The other picture is of her wild locks. I love her curls to pieces but boy they can get out of control.

Carie Hunt: WOW! Allison! Congrats!!!!
Melissa: I love YOU to pieces. I am so excited for you and your family and my prayers are always with you. I only wish I could be there to see the sweet babies once they arrive. But I know you will flood me with incredible images once they are home! Adorable images of K. Her curls are to die for. xoxo
jennyb: Oh A! That is wonderful news. I will keep you and the babes in my prayers. I too trust in God to take care of you and those precious little ones. How exiting for your family. Try to keep us posted. xo
Alexis: I am so happy for you guys. I can't believe you will have more kiddos than me. You will be in our prayers.
Christina: I think twins will be such a great addition to your beautiful family! I wish you the best of health during this pregnancy. I am always online if you are bored and need to e-mail while on bedrest!!!
JILL from BZ: Allison, Congrats on the twin pregnancy! I hope your pregnancy remains boring. (because your life sure won't be once they arrive!) I can't wait to see all of your twin newborn photos! Oh, I wish I knew even 1/10 of what I know now about photography when mine were newborns! (they are 4 now) Congrats again!
natalie allen: Allison haven't been on here in awhile. Congrats on the pg. I'm sorry to hear about the high risk. I will be praying that everything turns out ok.
chris: These are darling, Allison! Congratulations, what a double delight!! Can't wait to see their debut:)
